Hi Everyone,
We hope your 2019 has been good to you so far! Here we are checking in with some updates for the club!
2019 Colour Promotions: Thank you to all those who have expressed interest in a colour promotion. After extensive discussion with the executives, all promotions have been finalized and implemented for the year. No further promotions will be made. Moving forward, colour promotion will be granted based on the quality of play, sportsmanlike behavior, willingness to play with others and ‘spots’ available in the colour category.
Blackout dates and February Court Restriction: Please note that on February 26, 2019 we have only 3 courts/1 gym (rather than our regular 6 courts/2 gyms). This is due to a city event outside of our control.
There are current scheduled blackout dates which are posted on the club calendar (https://miltonbadmintonclub.org/calendar/). It will be your responsibility to check this schedule regularly.
Guests/Dropins are welcome: $10 per person per evening payable at the beginning of the night. Please note that guests will not be permitted if there are more than 30 members in attendance during the evening of play.
Rules and Expectations: Please be reminded to play balanced games. Only those respecting the club rules will be permitted as members of the club. Please review the rules at https://miltonbadmintonclub.org/rules/.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Leanne on behalf of the MBC Exec

What are the criteria’s for colour promotions? In fairness to the game and club, can we have these conditions for promotion published to all the players? Based on which, players can have apply focused improvement.
I would like to understand on what grounds does a blue become a red and likewise, a red is upgraded to a yellow.
Please advise.
