Let us know if you plan on playing with us this Summer by participating in our poll! It will assist in planning the summer session and help establish how many gyms we may need. Membership is expected to be $275 and run from April to September 2022. Details are still in the works and may change.
If you are UNSURE if you will be joining, please DO NOT complete this form. Current members and those who sign up with interest will get priority into the Summer Session. Those who sign up and decide to not join will not get priority in the Winter 2022/23 session (because it makes our planning just a little bit harder – thanks for understanding!).
This is gauging interest only. Participation in this poll DOES NOT REGISTER YOU in the 2022 summer session nor does it secure you a spot in the summer session. Email mbadc3@hotmail.com should you have any questions. This poll will close on February 21, 2022.
Yesterday the provincial government announced that effective Thursday, February 17 sports and recreational facilities may return to 100% capacities https://covid-19.ontario.ca/. Mask regulations, active screening and proof of vaccination with QR code will remain in place other than what current exemptions allow for. Those exemptions can be found at https://www.milton.ca/en/living-in-milton/vaccine-certificate-program.aspx
Due to the need to continue active screening and proof of vaccination checks, screening staff are scheduled 30 minutes in advance of [our play times].
As of Thursday, there are no restrictions on the number of people permitted in dressing rooms provided that masks are being worn by everyone.
Please be advised that it has come to our attention that several individuals are not prepared with their QR code as proof of vaccination and rather have been trying to use their vaccine receipts to show proof of vaccination.
As per the Provincial regulations the town requires everyone to download the enhanced vaccine certificate (QR code) as this is the only form of vaccine proof accepted (also have government issued ID). Please visit the Ontario Proof of Vaccination website for additional info and steps to obtain the enhanced vaccine certification.
A kind reminder that there is no badminton tomorrow night. We resume play next Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Please check our website often to be up-to-date on our play nights.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Stay safe everyone!
Effective Monday, January 31, 12:01am, indoor recreation facilities are permitted to reopen, according to the Ontario government’s Return to Reopening Plan.
At that time, our indoor recreation facilities are eligible to operate up to 50% of building capacity with additional various restrictions in place including:
Dressing room capacities are restricted to 50%, or a max of 10 individuals, and masks must be worn at all times. We recommend that sport participants come dressed for their activity and limit their time in the dressing rooms as much as possible. We also require that participants, coaching staff and spectators do not enter the facility until 30 minutes prior to their activity starting.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
Leanne, Saki, Vinu and Raj
Effective Monday, January 31 at 12:01am, the Ontario government is permitting indoor recreational facilities to reopen up to 50% capacity.
We anticipate that Town of Milton facilities will be opening for programs and rentals during the week of January 31, in a similar capacity to what was offered before this most recent closure. The reopening of programs and rentals is subject to the review of the full set of regulations, when they are released, and any additional public health measures that may be put in place. More specific reopening details will be provided as they come available.
As we’re preparing to return to indoor recreation, remember to download your enhanced vaccine certificate. Upon reopening, we will only be able to accept the enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code and the Verify Ontario app. The QR code can be used digitally or by printing a paper copy. You need to show government-issued I.D. along with the QR code.
Physician notes for medical exemptions are no longer able to be accepted. Medical exemptions must be noted on QR certificates. Information on how to obtain a medical exemption noted on your QR certificate can be found by visiting the Ontario COVID-19 proof of vaccination website.
The Ontario government’s full press release is available to read online.
Stay safe and healthy everyone! And get your vaccine!
The Milton Badminton Club is OPEN. We will remain open unless we receive different direction from Town of Milton. You will be notified of any impact COVID-19 may have on our club via email notification.
A kind reminder to NOT come to the club if you feel unwell, if you are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms and/or if you’ve come in contact with someone suspected to be/confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to wear your mask in-between games and sanitize your hands often. In show of good sportsmanship, games may finish with a clink of the head/string bed of your racquet (don’t clink the handle grip). Lets work together to keep each other healthy and safe!
Please also remember to check the club calendar for nights of scheduled closure. We are open for the holidays. Our next scheduled closed night is January 6, 2022.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Vinu, Saki, Raj and Leanne

Quick reminder that there is NO BADMINTON this evening. We will resume play again next Tuesday.
Have a safe weekend everyone!
